The Answer

The answer is

violin

because I purchased one just over a week ago and have had one lesson already. I've wanted to play violin for a fairly long time. My friend in high school had one and I would tinker with it whenever I could. I play piano (sadly my keyboard is in the states, I don't want it to break if I ship it), I played trumpet for 6 or 7 years when I was little, and I also play guitar. So we're adding violin to the repertoire. I'm having a lot of fun with it, even just a couple of weeks in. Here's a video of a talented pianist for you, Jon Schmidt. He arranged this song from two pop songs for his daughter. I can't embed the video here but just click this link.

The Answer

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things.

Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things.

I love the photo of the raindrops and teacup. It's the epitome of capturing a moment.

I'm in a photo contest this month. I would love if you would vote for me. Just head over to Kent Weakley's blog and click on my photo, #89, to vote. It's this photo by the way...
